Video Test Architect/Engineers
CCCi is working with our large Computer Services' Telecom client on a project in need for strong Video Test Architects and Engineers. Client and is in the process of building out their next generation content distribution engine. This content engine will position client as a wholesale content delivery provider to content brokers, wireless, wire line and TV media sources. The resources will work in a staff augmentation capacity supporting Telecom client as it works to build out the content distribution infrastructure.
The high level requirements are as follows:
- Top tier network architect/consultant. Experience with Content Management Systems preferred.
- End to End Testing Experience (use case development, performance/operational testing, regression testing)
- Ability to understand gaps in customer requirements
- Quickly assess gaps in customer's existing environment based in part on test results
- Understand network/solution functions, preference with Content Management Systems
Test Architect
- Works with Verizon and vendors to refine and complete the Testing Strategy.
- Defines the metrics to be collected for Verizon, and responsible for the provision of guidance, relating to testing activities for a project, to vendors and Verizon teams
Test Consultant
- Leads compliance to VDMS standard project management methods, processes and tools across project team; recommends project control approach and testing metrics; coaches project team members.
- Creates, analyzes and communicates project deliverables; monitors performance of project team members; secures appropriate approvals; leads project status review meetings.
- Leads the project team in translating requirements into testing project plan and executing project plan to achieve project testing objectives
- Sets up, manages, and reports on all testing activities, including the overall development and definition of the testing strategy, test plans, test cases, testing resources, and testing environments, as well as test execution.
Digital Video (mandatory)
- Video Post-Production with a Major Studio or Broadcaster
- Video experience (Digital Video Systems, Video Compression Technology, MPEG, AVC/H.264,)
- Experience with IP protocols, streaming media formats (HLS, HTML 5), Digital Rights Management
- Hands on experience with transcoding applications such as Agility, Flip Factory, Rhozet, etc.
- Hands on experience with MPEG analysis using applications such as Cerify, Manzanita, etc.
- Experience with Final Cut Pro Studio
Key Requirements/Job Skills (mandatory)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to understand instructions and to communicate issues to their test leads.
- Data entry (experience with complex process flow and business rules)
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Some experience with Testing or Q/A
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel
Systems/Servers (desired)
- Unix and Windows System Administration (log files, system utilization)
- Configuration and testing for Windows and Unix/Linux Servers
- Network Attached Storage (NetApp, Isilon) analysis and testing
- High Availability analysis and testing
- Performance/Scalability analysis (load/stress testing)
Networking (desired)
- Networking experience (TCP/IP, Fiber-optics, Routers, Switches, etc.)
- Network+ certification preferred
Experience/Education (desired)
- Experience with performance/stress testing (preferred)
- MS degree in a technical field (MS-EE or BS-CS preferred)
- BS degree in a technical field (BS-EE or BS-CS preferred)
- 5+ years of related job experience
