Marketing Services Specialist-Trade Show planning and development

part time, 20-25 hours per week, contract/temporary position for 3 months only. Responsible for assisting the Marketing Services Manager in the development of collateral materials, displays, packaging and the implementation of trade shows.

Specific Responsibilities:
Participate in strategy planning sessions for displays, merchandising, packaging, sales collateral and trade show development as assigned by the Manager, Marketing Services. Manage creative development and execution through to completion including vendor selection, vendor management & quote negotiating. (minimal travel required)

Work closely with Product Management team to identify marketing message and objectives for marketing services projects, suggest strategy to satisfy these objectives and develop copy hierarchy and visuals that satisfy objectives.

Work closely with internal display department on cost effective solutions to display strategies, working within the boundaries of their resources and constraints. Understand when external resources should or should not be used and recommend as appropriate.

Manage the photography and Digital Asset Management system. Arrange for photography and illustration for all new products or updates for assigned projects or product lines. Create and maintain the digital library working with approved external resource to satisfy needs and requests of internal and external customers and agencies.

Manage the print production process utilizing corporate broker system. Maintain print files keeping up-to-date records of changes in collateral materials for updates for assigned projects or product lines. Work closely with Product managers on timely execution of all changes to ensure a seamless rerun of materials.

Work with Marketing Services Specialist to manage the print production of all signs and POP materials, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met.

Manage the trade show development process for assigned trade shows through execution and setup. (minimal travel required)

Secure show services and payments, managing budgets assigned for show. Ensure timely submission of all paperwork. Arrange hotels and badges for show attendees working through designated housing bureaus where appropriate.

Manage the creative development of collateral materials as assigned, working closely with Product Management team to identify marketing objectives.

Work with selected external resources on execution of collateral materials from creative through production. Emphasis on project management, controlling budgets and ensuring timely delivery of finished pieces. May include planning and execution of photo shoots. (minimal travel required)

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree. 3-5 years experience in corporate marketing services department, advertising agency, display agency or marketing communications firm, working directly on the creative development process. Trade show development a significant plus. Familiarity with standard graphic arts computer programs required, including Adobe Illustrator, Quark X-Press, and Adobe Photoshop. Requires knowledge of personal computer software programs including Windows and Microsoft Office products.
