Description
Oracle/Sybase Database Administrator--6 month contract
Create Oracle database instances. Migrate data via Oracle 9i Export/Import schemas where necessary; using Oracle 10/11g Data Pump export/import schemas where possible.
Activities related to Oracle Net.
Create two (2) Sybase installations and refresh the databases from production (dump/load). Create or sync user logins. Manage the SQL.ini/interfaces files.
Script and set up backup and maintenance jobs for both Oracle and Sybase.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of AIX and Windows Server 2008 & Windows 7.
- All facets of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 9i-11g administration.
- All facets of Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 12.5 administration.
- Kornshell Scripting.
