Contract and Cost Control Manager - South East Asia
Our Client is an international engineering company.
They are embarking upon a complex and major engineering project in South East Asia.
The project is a large scale infrastructure project which will last several years.
The Company is seeking to recruit a hybrid Contract and Cost Control Manager.
The Cost Control Manager will be responsible for the administration of the contracts and for the overall budgeting and cost control of this engineering project.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for developing the project budgeting and cost control systems and procedures, the regular project cost reports and for setting up the financial systems for the project.
As the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for reporting on all contract administration issues, cost reporting and cost estimation of the project activities, including reporting to the Client.
You will be responsible for putting in place the policies and procedures, forms and systems necessary for the Client to monitor perform contract administration of the engineering project.
The Cost and Contracts Manager will administer and manage the daily forms and systems for the contract administration in collaboration with the respective Users of the project.
You will report to the Team Leader of the Projects Team.
For this exciting new engineering project you will have a degree a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering.
In addition you will have at least 10 to 15 year experience in contract administration, budgeting and cost control roles, including at least one project of major complexity and size.
As the Contracts Administrator and Manager you will have a detailed knowledge of the FIDIC as contracting basis and experience from contract administration of at least one project of a sizeable scale.
The following is a list of functions for the position:
- Project Management, Project Scheduling and costs control, Progress monitoring, Contract Management, Technical advice and analysis, Documentation reviews and evaluation report,
- Assistance in completing submissions in compliance with financial requirements,
- Support during construction and evaluation tests and reporting and environment, resettlement and financing
The position is based in South East Asia.
The duration of the contract will be 6 to 12 months initially.
