Seattle, WA

Our client's team is seeking an innovative and highly motivated user experience designer to join our effort to raise the bar on seller experience.

This designer will have a significant impact on 3P selling business as they take a key role in setting the design direction for our client and direct design projects in support of our growing base of cutting edge products.

The designer will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, executives, and other designers, leading design throughout the planning and development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities for the UX Designer -
Defining design strategy and pattern libraries to create the best online seller experience at our client.
Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable user interfaces in a team environment
Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings
Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-through, and prototypes
Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and business team members for review and feedback.
Measure design impact & build an evaluation framework incorporating qualitative and quantitative seller feedback.

Qualifications
At least 3-5 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions is a requirement for application
Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently
Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the web
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly websites and customer-facing features
Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or Flash
Experience with agile/scrum
Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture
Web based application user experience in a global context
Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and innovative and bold strategic vision.
