DESCRIPTIONThe Software Development Project Manager w/PMP required will ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects that satisfy specific intra-departmental business needs. Lead the detailed analysis and development of the defined solution. Apply structured Project Management methodology to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, in scope, and are relevant to the business objectives. Requires knowledge and application of project management methodologies in complex environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple development vendors.
- Manage the development work streams from initial requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.
- Develop and manage testing strategies using off-shore resources, project team BA's, and department QA team.
- Manage deliverables done by on-shore resources both within and outside of the team.
- Manage the Level 4 support process. This includes Tracking and Analyzing defects. It also includes developing and implementing steps to resolve defects, simplify installation, and improve uptime and usability.
- Communicate serious outages to key stakeholders and provide explanation of root cause.
- Manage the team in support of deployment activities.
- Excellent communication skills and has experience managing multiple, concurrent development streams.
- 8+ years of experience with Project Management with a solid understanding of project management principles.
- History of successful project completion
- Excellent communication skills.

- Programming or other technical background preferred.
- Must be a quick learner.
- MS Project skills.
- Knowledge of when and why to use PM tools.
- Experience with out-sourced development and with international clients is preferred.
- PMP or other project management certification is required.
- 10 years of relevant experience in IT, especially in software development and product deployment.
- Experience in retail/restaurant technology is preferred.
- College degree required.
