DESCRIPTIONThe Network Services/Support consultant will maintain the integrity of multiple Mobile Switching Centers and the numerous network elements they contain. Responsibilities may include performing hardware installations, routine maintenance on Switching complex, interpreting reports, and utilizing troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex system hardware/software problems.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Ericsson UMTS (WCDMA) OSS applications such as AMOS, CEX, Element Manager, and NSA,
- Fulfill requests to perform JVM Restarts for reasons such as hung alarms.
- Run both pre and post Key Performance Indicators for nightly planned maintenance work.
- Assist Wireless Technicians and vendors with restoration activities when service impairments occur.
- Execute engineering work orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Knowledgeable on Ericsson UMTS and GSM equipment
- Radio Access Network experience
- General Computer skills
- Knowledge of Ericsson GSM, OSS apps such as AMOS, CEX, Element Management
- Familiarity with the following network elements: RNC, BSC, BTS & UMTS
- Hardware troubleshooting skills
- Software troubleshooting
