DESCRIPTIONThe Sr. QA Automation Test Engineer will lead or assist in delivering particular components of quality assurance and/or testing functions within a specific project or program. Incorporate QA/testing/automation processes and procedures into the project or program plan. Requires 5-8 years QA experience with a minimum of 3+ years test automation experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop Strategies and Plans to Support Test Automation for Corporate Financial systems
- Create automated test scripts and libraries from design docs, requirements docs, and documented test cases/test procedures for financial applications
- Assist in design and implementation of frameworks for automation test environments
- Perform manual testing as required
- Develop & maintain Automated Tests
- Diagnose, debug, and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects found during testing activities
- Assist in defect coordination functions as requested, ensuring that test defects are tracked to closure and that the defect repository is kept up-to-date with the current status
- Assist in creation and distribution of test status metrics as required
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable
- Maintain traceability Matrix
- Assist in development of Customized Reports and Metrics via HP Quality Center or other proven tools
- Oracle eFinancials experience is essential
- Proficiency in SQL Scripting
- Experience in developing automated tests using HP tool suite
- Experience in automated testing start-up implementations is a plus
- Experience leading automated testing efforts on assigned projects
- Experience estimating test automation efforts
- SQL Scripting, Oracle EBS & Legacy/MainFrame skills
- Experience customizing and administering HP Quality Center
- Knowledge and experience in Formal Qualification and/or User Acceptance Testing
- Solid knowledge of testing and test automation best practices
- Requirements Management & end to end traceability experience required
- Strong independent worker and excellent team player
- Highly customer focused
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills are essential
- Proven ability to effectively use HP Quality Center
- Demonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of a software application
