DESCRIPTIONThe Network Services/Support consultant will support and monitor a client network security infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Validate attacks against clients networks and assess the impact.
- If any countermeasures are required, make the appropriate recommendation and implement the resolution.
- Define, track, and maintain standard baselines and configuration sets of all managed and/or monitored security devices and implement industry best practices with regards to Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN and network configurations.
- Keep up with current vulnerabilities, attacks and appropriate countermeasures.
- May interface with other stakeholders including vendors, application development and technical support staff, and clients.
- Provide advanced technical support to Security Engineers in the Security Operations Center.
- B.A. in tech field or equivalent combination of education, training, & work experience.
- Minimum 4 years Network Security experience.
- Expert level IP Packet Analysis skills a must.
- Must have demonstrated success in managing, analysing, and solving complex network technical issues.
- Must be proficient in Cisco IDS/IPS, Cisco Pix, Checkpoint NG, Nokia IPSO, Juniper/Netscreen Firewall, Snort IDS, Syslog analysis and Windows/Linux/Unix Security configurations.
- Must possess the ability to produce written communication and technical aptitude.
- Ability to work an off-shift, including 2nd shift, 3rd shift and weekend shifts.
- CCSP, CISSP, CCSA, CCSE, CCNP+S, CCIE Security Written, GIAC.
