DESCRIPTION
The Senior Test Automation Engineer will assist with automation development for Wireless LAN (WLAN) switching products employing advanced security.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and enhance automated test scripts.
  • Manage, Execute automated regression test suites and test tools in WLAN environments
  • Manage, Execute manual test procedures to set up tests and verify defects
  • Analyze test outputs and report results to test leads and senior managers
  • Work with developers and testers to debug test failures and file defect reports
  • Work with QA teams to port test suites into test environments
Qualifications
  • BS EE/CS required with 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of automation/scripting experience
  • Very strong scripting/debugging skills in Tcl/Expect
  • 5 years of automation/testing in data communication industry (LAN, WAN, WLAN), and 2+ years WLAN test experience
  • Must have experience of Functional/Feature Automated testing
  • Strong knowledge of WLAN, L2/L3 (Ethernet, TCP/IP), SNMP, HTTP, Linux/UNIX/Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of WLAN advanced/security protocols (WEP, 802.1x, WPA/TKIP, WPA2/AES/802.11i, WME/WMM/802.11e, IPSec VPN, Firewalls
  • Demonstrated experience using network monitoring and analysis tools to debug Ethernet/Wireless/IP layer problems
  • Experience with GUI automation is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Familiar with software development in C/C++
  • Strong interest in Embedded domain
  • Knowledge in Embedded operating systems (WinCe, Palm OS, Linux Vrtx, Vxworks, etc)
  • Experience in Multimedia Systems (image and video compression), DSP or Wireless baseband an advantage
  • Experience in Linux programming preferred
  • Willing to travel in short notice
