Description

My client a large Acute trust has identified the need to provide additional support to its Accident and Emergency department and its associated ECIST/Minor Injuries Unit.

Whilst they are performing at a satisfactory level there is a "blurring" of responsibility and they need additional targeted resource both in terms of general management and clinical leadership - these are exciting potential opportunities and my client has asked that I proactively identify suitable candidates.

Your role will be to draw on your extensive experience to introduce new ways of working or to improve current working arrangements to improve patient care, ensure operational targets are met and to improve communication at all levels. This will involve the redesign of patient flows, bed management and operational support to deliver the CIP agendas.

You will support the current employees and utilise your strong communication skills to full effect in order to deliver consistency and clarity around roles and responsibilities.

You should have a clinical background and extensive experience of A&E/Emergency Medicines having worked as a Head/AD or General Manager position within these directorates. Interims with extensive operational experience in a general management type role are of considerable interest.

You will be a strong communicator, credible, flexible in management style and have a proven track record of delivering change whilst working under pressure to deliver core targets around waiting times and bed management, you will combine an assertive manner with a political awareness.

If you wish to be considered for this opportunity you are encouraged to send your CV and contact details for the attention of Mark Payne as soon as possible.

Immediate requirement - interviews will take place before Christmas.
