Description
DESCRIPTIONThe Engineering Technician will work with various Windows and Android hand held mobile devices running software test plans, logging issues found, and recreating failure scenarios. Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, missile control instrumentation, electron tubes, test equipment, and machine tool numerical controls, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics.
Qualifications
- Must be able to clearly and concisely describe failure scenarios both written and verbally, so excellent communication skills are a must.
- May require an Associate's degree or technical school certification.
Experience using Windows PCs, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. - Experience setting up and using wireless LAN devices and wireless LAN access points as well as power supplies, test equipment, and voltmeters is required.
- Experience reading and executing test plans is a must.
- Experience using IBM ClearQuest is also desired.
