OEM Technical Specialist

Description

This service team is looking for a Lead Technical Specialist to join their team to provide technical advice, expertise and Production support capabilities to the Oracle database environment.  
 
Your core responsibilities are as follows:

• Provide day-to-day technical support within a 'business as usual' environment
• Provide strategic input to design and quality assurance of technology solutions
• Technical design, coordinating the work on systems and integrating new applications with existing systems and files
• Continually evaluate working practices and procedures to help the implementation of cost effective methodologies for high quality technology developments

Reporting directly to the Performance Services team manager, you will have the professional knowledge within their technical specialty to support team and department/function objectives through the use of existing or new tools and process.
Developed knowledge of operating systems within the roles area of expertise.  Technical skills:

• Oracle Enterprise Manager 10G and 11G R2
• Apex report builder
• Oracle WebLogic Portal Server 10.3+
• Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.8+/LDAP
• Oracle Database +
• Oracle Virtual Manager 2.1
• Oracle Dataguard 10G/11G R2
• E-business patterns understanding

You will have a strong customer service oriented attitude supported by excellent communication and relationship building skills. In addition, you will have strong problem solving skills and a desire to find a root cause, ensuring problems and incidents are resolved in a timely matter.
