A major Global Insurer is looking for a SCRUM Master. The SCRUM Master is needed for a large scale Claims Transformation Programme. Claims System experience ( ideally Guidewire) is preferred for this role, however all candidates MUST have hands on SCRUM Master experience, not simply touched upon it. The SCRUM Master MUST have led cross functional teams including SME's, BA's testers and developers. This is almost a "Lead" Scrum Master role, and ideally candidates should be able to operate at this level.

Principal Requirements

*Assertively drive individual sprints to completion in line with agreed targets, objectives and budgets through providing effective leadership, motivation and inspiration to a diverse range of skill sets within an agile methodology environment.
*A significant role in successfully delivering the programme, the role holder will manage their business and IT resource effectively in a fast paced, challenging environment and work collaboratively with peers to ensure an integrated delivery of the overall programme.
*Manage the full life cycle of an individual software development and implementation track, ensuring quality of delivery against key milestones and targets.
*Introduce and facilitate the agile development methodologies within allocated track.
*Effectively lead and enthuse team resources in a sell not tell style (manipulate to achieve objectives)
*Estimate and track project effort, taking effective control actions where appropriate
*Identify, track and manage project risks and issues including the development and delivery of mitigation and contingency plans
*Stakeholder identification and relationship management to facilitate removal of project roadblocks
*Act as an 'enabler' in support of team members achieving their specific objectives
*Ensure the sprint deliveries are undertaken in line with business and cultural objectives and not just to the plan.
*Create a culture where focus on the individual and detailed elements of the delivery plan day by day is achieved in addition to ensuring the realisation of overall goals
*Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement

Required Experience

*General Insurance Claims System experience relating to the track to be managed is desirable (ie Home/Motor/Claims Administration/Output Management)
*Agile development methodologies
*Package configuration and implementation
*Process design and workflow
*Will be internally recognised as an expert practitioner in project and client management with a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience within the context of extensive business experience, having a good business knowledge and overall exposure.
*Proven track record in managing and delivering large, key strategic projects
*Proven track record of managing, leading and motivating diverse and multi functional project teams
*Experience in structured complex project management (RAD/Agile )
*Confident technology user, including complex excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Project etc
