Support Analyst Sydney
Major Telco!
Up to 6 month contract!
Must have: Java, J2EE and Weblogic

Support Analyst will be a member of a support team within a leading telecommunication organisation, responsible for providing 24 X 7 Tier 2 production support to a number of in-house-built applications. The role involves proactive management of the applications as well as faults, maintenance requests and includes updating stakeholders on the progress of fault resolution and maintenance request fulfilment.

Knowledge and experience required
Essential:
Minimum of 3 years IT or customer servicing experience working in a similar position in a medium to large scale organisation
At least 2 years of technical support or fault coordination experience in a Tier 1/Tier 2 support or customer facing environment
Service quality monitoring and performance reporting
Experience in working with Java
Experience in working with PERL
Experience of application logging, monitoring and alarming systems
Knowledge of Content Management System Methodologies

Desirable:
Exposure to Apache, Tomcat or other application Servers
Telecommunication industry experience
Knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture
Good documentation skills
Knowledge of or exposure to web Portals
Familiar with Fault Management Tools
Familiar with mobile handsets
Basic knowledge of Wap/SMS/MMS/3G/OTAP
Shell programming experience
Exposure to Oracle SQL
Unix system exposure or experience
Exposure to Vignette Portal and/or CMS
