Communication Lead/Advisor urgently required to work in Middlesex on a contract basis.

You will be responsible for developing and deliver the communications, engagement and PR plan with the objective of demonstrating the clients support for athletes as they prepare for the Games and as they compete in the Games. This will be achieved via a variety of generated content such as blogs, webinars, interview and images and will need to be shared across multiple channels, including social media, internal, website and printed media, Liaising with all of the clients London 2012 workstream leads to proactively identify opportunities where athlete content or appearances will add value to their programmes and keeping track of and manage all requests from the clients businesses for athlete appearances. Preparing detailed briefs for each athlete before appearance days; attend appearance days and liaise with all of the clients London 2012 workstream leaders to make sure that the client gets the most value from each of the appearance days in 2012. Following the appearance days, collate qualitative feedback from the athlete and the business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record as a Communications Lead/Advisor educated to a degree and/or relevant communications or marketing qualification. Previous project management and marketing experience, particularly with global sponsorship properties. An in depth knowledge of working with a network of consultants and/or suppliers, dealing at account manager level or above, and an internal communications or brand/marketing communications track record, inside or outside the client with evidence of designing and implementing communication plans using a number of different channels, with a variety of different audiences, including development of content supportive of key business priorities. Previous experience managing athletes in a sponsorship environment is particularly valuable.

Candidates with previous knowledge of managing a range of suppliers and budgets and delivering high-profile programmes to tight deadlines, under pressure would be at a distinct advantage.
