IT Project Manager needed for a contract position in Whitehouse Station, NJ.

Primary Job Responsibilities 
Develops and executes detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation. May include interaction with different stakeholders across the enterprise. Works with process management on the coordination and reporting of applicable project level metrics. Through Matrix management, is responsible for execution and delivery of projects through adherence to all IT project standards, defining and managing the project through the SDLC (ie Project Path) and associated IT processes (ie Building Permit, CUPID). Ensures SOX compliance for all project related work. Responsible for deploying projects on time, with quality, within budget, and as per specification (adhering to architectural design), effectively monitoring project risks, employing mitigation strategies where appropriate. Responsible for working with managers across the functional areas (Business Partner, Architecture Services, Development and Business Systems Support Services) to identify the appropriate project resources needed, assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing a schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Ensures that project team roles and project expectations are clearly communicated to all stakeholders including business subject matter experts and end users. Effectively manages the project team, demonstrating the ability to coach, mentor and positively influence others, providing timely feedback to individuals and resource managers. Participate in Business Unit and Chubb-wide project management working groups and activities to stay current on the latest project management solutions and to ensure the proposed project management processes, tools and metrics are aligned to the current and future Corporate IT objectives. Build and maintain an understanding of business processes and products across the Business Unit, establishing strong working relationships with counterparts across the functional areas. Responsible for the successful delivery of one or more, small to medium sized and moderately complex projects. Overtime: straight time

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Commensurate Experience
5-7 years of experience in technology, business, management or project leadership
Experience managing in a Matrix environment
Demonstrated experience in project management and/or team leadership with high quality (ie proven track record)
Results oriented and analytical with the ability to lead others
Innovative, flexible and adaptable
Good understanding of IT environments/technologies
Good written and verbal communication, relationship management, interpersonal, conflict and negotiation skills
Must understand the system scope and project objectives to achieve project needs through Matrix management and collaboration with resource, process and budget management.
