A FTSE 100 Energy company based in London are urgently recruiting a Financial Accountant for their busy team. This role is to effectively carrying out day-to-day financial and operational accounting activities Group and its' subsidiaries, and other entities as appropriate in accordance with high professional standards and company/statutory requirements. To provide information required by entity Board of Directors so they can make effective business decisions and be satisfied the necessary financial controls are in place. Your key accountability's will include the preparation and completion of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts. Assist in the annual statutory external audit processes to ensure timely and effective audits are completed, ensuring that the supporting documentation is completed on a timely basis as required. Preparation of robust technical accounting working papers that demonstrate an understanding of both the business issue and practical application of the relevant accounting standards. Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Keep abreast of developments in accounting and finance under IFRS. The ideal candidate MUST have energy experience and a thorough knowledge and practical experience of IFRS. This is a great company to work for and offers progression.
