TITLE: UI DEVELOPER
TYPE: 6 months CONTRACT (POSSIBILITY FOR EXTENSION)

JOB SUMMARY:
The UI Developer will be responsible for consuming wire frames, comps and style guides to develop complex web based user interfaces utilizing HTML 5, CSS 3 and JQuery. Must also be able to create, modify and completely understand JSP and JSTL. Demands heavy interaction with Java developers. Candidate has a minimum of 5 years experience developing large scale web user interfaces. Works within a highly collaborative Scrum team to rapidly release product increments. Must command superior communication skills and the ability to articulate technical details to non-technical business colleagues.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5+ Years HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- 3+ Years JQuery or similar JavaScript framework
- 3+ Years JSP and JSTL
- Expert in hand-coded, cross browser supported, W3C compliant web pages
- Expert in UI inspection and debugging tools like Firebug, Google Page Speed, Y-Slow etc.
- Demonstrable portfolio of websites that implement progressive enhancement
- Solid understanding of ADA (American Disabilities Act) with demonstrable 508 Compliance knowledge
- Experience with source control repositories, Subversion preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
