This Australian CBD based icon is one of the largest marketers of petroleum products in Australia and has operations in all states and territories. It is the only of its kind to be listed on the Australian stock exchange with a massive 20,000+ shareholders which include retail investors with over 1500 employees holding 50% of shares.

As a Systems Administrator, your responsibilities will include:-
  • Plan, design, develop and implement efficient infrastructure functionality in support of business processes and organisational requirements
  • Gather and analyse data in support of business cases, proposed projects and system requirements
  • Generate and compile reports based on findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues
To be considered for this unique opportunity, you must have a strong mix of the following skills:-
  • 4 years experience in, and a detailed knowledge of Unix System administration
  • 2 years in HP UX System administration including - LVM , file systems , tape/backup, printers, user/security, HPUX Kernel , HPUX memory management, network administration, job scheduling via cron
  • Shell Scripting in K, C & Posix shells
  • HP UX - hardware (CPU, memory, disks, network hardware)
  • EMC disk subsystems and Replication Manager
  • HP EVA disk subsystem and CommandView
This is an urgent requirement and immediate starters would be preferred. Please note that this role will involve 24*7 supports of mission critical high availability systems (ie on call and out-of-hours work)
