Description
Networkers International are delighted to be working with a market leader on a 9 month temporary contract for an Assisting Balance Sheet Analyst. All applicants should have minimum 1 year post-qualified experience (ACA/ACCA) and have be adept at monthly reporting and commentary.
To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- an understanding of the composition of balances
- an ability to explain monthly/quarterly/yearly movements
- experience in reconciling accounts
- experience in ensuring compliance with relevant protocols
- a high level of autonomy and the ability to be proactive in investigating balances where necessary
- excellent IT skills
- SOX compliance experience
- US GAAP balance sheet reporting, preferably in an insurance environment
- Advanced M/S Excel skills
- Excellent analysis skills
Key responsibilities of the successful applicant will include:
- Responsibility for legal entities
- Ensure accounts comply with relevant protocols
- Identify and correct unusual balances in a timely manner ie new positions, uncharacteristic movements etc.
- Contribute to balance sheet commentary
- Responsible for balance sheet flux analysis
- Quarterly audit pack
- Support monthly reporting process
- Responsible for updating quarterly forecasts with upcoming unusual movement/provision requirements etc.
- Shared responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations tracking
- Shared responsibility for production of Management Information
