We have an immediate requirement for an experienced hands on network consultant within our consulting team based in Abu Dhabi, to design and deploy a campus based IPTV solution.
Position Summary:
Responsible the high and low level design, specification, approval and deployment of a Cisco based IPTV solution to deliver high quality content across the customer campus in line with overall architecture strategy and business objectives.
Related Technical Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
- Strong Enterprise and Campus based routing and switching expertise to CCIE level
- Proven and documented expertise in the design and deployment of a medium to large scale IPTV solution
- Demonstrable experience of Multicast design solutions for traffic to be propagated across layer 2 and layer 3 Firewalls
- Has demonstrated clear leadership skills and experience working with large project teams
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree in a relevant subject is desired however experience and achievement will be taken into consideration in lieu of academic achievement and vendor accreditation
- equivalent plus 5+ years related experience in project management with focus on IT systems and solutions
- Should have some formal project management qualification ideally PMP, PRINCE 2, ESi or equivalent or be studying for such a qualification
Core Competencies
As a customer facing role in a professional services team this individual will be expected to have strong communication skills across all levels in the business with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. In addition to which, they will be able to perform both in a stand-alone role as well as with a team.
Whilst a global organisation this is an English speaking environment, additional languages such as Arabic will be an advantage but it not necessary for success in the role.
