Solution Architect - Cloud and hosting services (CAAS, PAAS, SAAS).My client, a large telecoms company is looking for a Solutions Architect. The Solution Architect is expected to build and source market services from third-party sources and customer-bespoke solutions.
Key areas of knowledge desired include experience in cloud and hosting services and applications, including but limited to: storage (as a service), CAAS, PAAS, SAAS, co-location services, application hosting, security and adjunct services.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Articulate, assist in the design and build of standard and cost effective solutions for the customer in conjunction with existing and emerging mobility and mobile applications landscape, including, but not limited to Mobile Device Management, Enterprise Mobility applications, app stores and device security and policy management.
- Follow the extensive process for design, price and proposing.
- Present custom design solutions.
- Ensure that the solution(s) put forward leverage customer requirements
- Lead and co-ordinate proposals to the customer and investigate and evaluate supplier proposals
- Understand and communicate global telecom standards and ground rules. Conduct operations training and assurance of support
- Prepare comprehensive and complete design documentation
- Provide technical consultancy as a trusted advisor of the customer
- Work closely with the principal designers and help in defining new technical standards and solutions
