Description
My client, a leading networking organisation, are currently recruiting for a copper and containment engineer for a 2 week placement in the South West.
The role will require:
Follow drawings and work under direction from the Black Box Project Manager have the ability to be able to make simple on site cabling decision ie routes to take
Pulling Cables
Install basket tray, cable tray, PVC trunking and general containments
Including setting and marking out of support systems, hangers etc.
Able to bend conduit and perform all tasks
May be working in a team environment
Terminating Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cable by a number of manufacturers
Discuss the work with the customer on site and communicate this back to the Project Manager
To have a good working knowledge of cable capacity within containment.
Operate a Fluke tester (supplier by Project Manager) and complete full tests to Black Box standard with result sent to Project Manager
Experience:
Must have CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
Must have a Asbestos Awareness Certification
Must have customer facing skills
They should hold at least one major suppliers valid training certificate and be able to produce that on demand
First aid certificate would be useful
