Description
We are looking for a Sr. Network Engineer with Cisco, Data Center and Network Life Cycle Management and Refresh experience. This is a 12 month contract opportunity located in Charlotte, NC. The work will be performed 90% on-site with 10% travel when required.
Individuals MUST have heavy process driven capabilities as they will be working on multiple US Data Center locations. Candidates will be evaluating, scheduling, and performing refresh and upgrades in a leveraged Data Center Network environment.
Qualified individual will be tasked with high visibility project work that is critical in nature. Must have experience and be comfortable interacting with all levels of personnel and giving presentations to high level executives.
REQUIRED:
1. Technical, hands-on engineering experience within an enterprise level environment. This is NOT an operational support position, but someone with an operational background related to having a strong business acumen is desired.
2. Network Life Cycle Management and switch Refresh (LCMR) experience in a Data Center environment.
3. Cisco Engineer experience with Cisco Suite (Switch and Routers): 4500, 6500, and 7600. Heavy 6509 Data Center environment.
4. Experience with H3C hardware and LAN/WAN skills.
5. Must have experience "owning" a project of critical nature that involved customer interfacing. Ability to take initiative and be self-directed with project initiatives.
6. Must have experience with IOS upgrades, layer II and III troubleshooting, VLAN, and typing code on Routers.
