Description
Hiring (2) Senior Java Developer for a High-Profile project (2months +) with a very large financial services company. The Senior Java Developers will collaborate with the Technical Architect and Technical Delivery Lead onsite to develop Java software with the near shore development team in Mexico. Participate as a technical liaison between the client and the development team near shore. Effectively communicate with the development team both on-shore and near-shore. This position will spend 90% of time coding.
Team:
Will be serving as a Sr. Java Developer, working onshore at client site with the Technical Delivery Lead and Architect, as well as working with a team of near-shore Java/J2EE Developers with Web Services/SOA interface experience working in a MATRIX Near Shore center (8 resources in Mexico) with one Technical Deliver lead in Dallas (will be interfacing with Oracle eBusiness suite, but through Web Services/SOA). The team will participate in designing, coding, testing, and debugging highly distributed, highly transactional Java software components using iterative development methodologies. Will work in a collaborative role with client-side Technology Leads and Architects to develop software solutions and with Project Managers to complete project tasks accurately and delivered on time.
Required Experience:
6+ years Java
6+ years of large scale development experience in a distributed environment preferred, with Java and experience interfacing with Web Services/SOA. Experience with the entire software development life cycle.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or information systems or a degree in a closely related field is required.
Preferred skills/technologies:
Weblogic, DB2, Oracle, ESB, Maven, Continuum, Subversion, Open SSO, Jasper, My Eclipse, JUnit, Linux, Apache Webserver, UML
Interfacing experience with Oracle eBusiness Financials is a plus, but this will likely be accomplished with Web Services/SOA, so having Web Services/SOA is strongly preferred.
Near-Shore or On-Shore Project delivery experience preferred
Certification:
One or more certifications (like SCJP, SCJA or SCEA) requiring an independent assessment preferred.
