Our client is looking for Wireless Access Design Consultant who can offer:

Very good understanding of 2G, 3G and LTE wireless access networks preferably from Operator's point of view. In depth knowledge of 3GPP radio solutions and architecture, 2G, 3G and 4G. Experience with network planning, dimensioning, design and engineering of radio networks. Knowledgeable about frequency planning and spectrum allocation. Knowledgeable about antenna systems and related civil works. Hands-on Experience with Aircom Asset and Forsk Atoll, CellOpt. Knowledgeable about Radio feature and parameter setting and their impact on network functionality and performance. Experienced in working with sub-contractors, design reviews, quality control and approvals. In depth knowledge and experience on at least one of the following areas:

  • Radio solutions, features, interfaces and their evolution in accordance to 3GPP Releases with emphasis on Rel.8
  • Self Organizing Networks (SON)
  • Multi Standard Radios (MSR) base stations
  • 2G, 3G and LTE co-location solutions for the radio sites
  • Spectrum re-farming and technology aspects for 2G, 3G and LTE networks.

Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 12 years relevant experience in 2G/3G mobile network design and optimization, 4G experience preferred. A minimum of 5 years relevant managerial experience. MSc in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics or equivalent from a recognized university. Solid, deep technical understanding of all RF design and engineering aspects for 2G, 3G and preferably 4G networks. Experience with RF planning of GSM, and UMTS2100 networks. Spectrum refarming experience is a plus. Good knowledge of 2G/3G optimization including features and parameter setting. Experience with Ericsson, Huawei, and NSN equipment ranges. Solid knowledge in 3GPP standards and how to apply the latest releases on architecture and design. Experience with RF tools like Aircom Asset and Forsk Atoll. Ability to manage a multi-national team of engineers in a challenging, culturally diverse environment. Ability to deal with tight deadlines and multiple concurrent urgent issues. Experience with Ericsson, Huawei, NSN and ALU RAN equipment is highly desirable. Tender preparation experience on relevant equipment is necessary.
