Description
Electrical Engineer for a contract opportunity located in Norway with an Engineering company. The Electrical engineer will be seconded to a number of projects with global oil and gas companies.Role and Responsibilities:
. Produce now documentation and drawings such as Heat trace layouts and calculations, light and small power layouts etc.
. Revise existing documentation and drawings
. Produce work packages for installation
. Produce documentation for selectivity calculations
. Order all electrical materials needed for offshore installation
. Follow up vendor/supplier deliveries
. Participate in FAT`s
Requirements:
. Bachelor/higher education or university within electrical or City & Guilds ++
. Long experience, 5-10 years within offshore related projects
. Knowledge of relevant standards such as Ptil, ATEX, IEC61893 nad Norsok
. Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation
. Experienced in several process and utility systems, incl. Main Power (HV), Emergency Power and UPS supported systems
. Knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry
. Knowledge of the difference of using hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical in the safety system
. Must be able to understand P & IDs and drawings from different disciplines
. Preferably have a valid Norwegian offshore - and health certificates
