Senior QA Engineer-Contract-Dublin
My client has an urgent requirement for a Senior QA Engineer for a 6-9month contract (with the likelihood of being extended) starting in March.
Qualifications
Technical:
*At least 5 years' experience in a QA Role.
*Solid software testing background through extended quality assurance experience.
*Solid understanding and background in Agile Methodology.
*Solid understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.
*Diagnostic and analytical skills.
*Competency in relevant development and coding environments, languages, tools and platforms (SQL, Unix).
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
Responsibilities:
*Ensure that the software is delivered on time and with high quality.
*Coordinates the creation of test cases for all features of our clients system.
*Participates in formal reviews of application designs, business and functional requirements.
*Ensures test coverage of project requirements.
*Ensures execution of test cases for most complex projects.
*Coordinates test schedules and work plans - manage progress of all test activities against plan.
*Establish testing entrance and exit criteria working with the project team.
*Ensure execution of project regression test tasks.
*Analyse and reports overall test status and results.
*Identifies test issues and reports to project manager.
*Define and coordinates production verification and validation (where applicable).
