Volt are currently recruiting on behalf of a global Telecom & IT organisation for an interim Part Qualified Accountant.
THE ROLE:
Preparation of Management Accounts (Final Balance Sheet & P&L)
Assists in the preparation of various accounting schedules and reports.
Supervises and participates in the processing of accounts payable, with the aid of junior members of staff in both the UK and NL.
Maintains subsidiary ledgers including accounts receivable, prepayments, depreciation, and cash.
Implements credit control procedures for chasing outstanding debts.
Maintains appropriate accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
Ensures timely payments of wage tax, social security and pension contributions.
Collects expense information for end of tax year reporting (P11d).
Prepares UK VAT returns and EC Sales Lists
THE PERSON:
Qualifications
Sound knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping, either by a recognised qualification or experience, to the final balance sheet/Profit & Loss level.
Skills & Experience
Essential skills include:
General competence within the Microsoft Windows environment
Above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel, preferably to macro level
Sound understanding of accounting software, preferably Pegasus Opera
High degree of accuracy
Experience in the following areas is essential for the role:
UK intrastat regulations for VAT processing
Basic double entry bookkeeping
