Sogeti UK are seeking an IT Trainer to join our training department on a Fixed term contract basis. The trainer will carry out training in software testing and relevant consulting soft skills from beginner to senior test manager.
Requirements for the role:
Functional responsibility:
- Running training courses for public schedule and customer-site based courses
- Updating existing training course materials to maintain currency
- Writing training materials for new training courses that are developed for use within Sogeti and for external customers
Principal responsibilities:
- Delivery of standard and bespoke training courses on software testing and relevant soft skills
- Authoring and updating of training course materials - presentation slides; delegate notes; tutor notes, handouts
- Mentoring of course delegates to achieve a pass in examined course

Job Skills:
- Training all levels of tester from novice (no experience) to advanced (senior manager with 10 - + years)
- Oral skills - able to communicate training course materials in a stimulating and informative manner
- Written skills - able to explain the theory and practice of testing in an informative and engaging manner
- Presentation skills - able to present information in a stimulating manner through the use of flipchart, handout, presentation software (eg MS Powerpoint)
Technical skills:
- Experienced testing practitioner in v-model and iterative/sequential development methodologies
- Experienced in the use and theory of all commonly used test design techniques
- Test Management
- MS Office
Desirable skills:
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certificate in software testing
- Either ISEB Practitioner certificate in software testing or ISEB Intermediate certificate in software testing or ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level certified
- IITT TAP qualified in course presentation (optional)
