Senior WAN/LAN Network Analysts

CCCi has two opportunities for a Senior WAN Network Analyst and a Senior LAN Network Analyst to work with our Computer Services client in the Akron, OH area.

These Network Services Analysts, Sr. (WAN) and Sr. (LAN) are technical positions in the local Akron area client's Server & Network Operations Center. The position requires in-depth support of Wide-Area Network and Local-Area Network communication technologies and support of other assorted network components including, but not limited to, WAN/LAN data and voice communication transports, network protection services, network load balancing, WAN acceleration, VPN remote access hardware and software, etc.

The primary responsibility of this position is to:
-manage the daily maintenance requirements of client's global voice and data network
-leading efforts to install, maintain and optimize the production network
-ensuring the availability, intergrity, performance and security obligations of client's global voice, data, and server operations are met
-gathering, reporting, and analysing data in support of network management, maintenance, and performance
-administration of the applications and tools required for this task.

Technical Experience:
-Current CCNP Certification
-Subject Matter Expert for Wide Area NetworkLocal Area Network technologies (Cisco Routers, BGP, CiscoWorks, Telecom Carrier Services)
-Strong understanding of the following: TCP/IP, OSPF, QoS, IPSec/GRE VPN, VoIP, VLANs, VTP, Spanning Tree, STP, and SNMP
-Experience with Cisco ASAs, Blue Coat ADN (Application Delivery Network), Juniper Routers and Firewalls, Packet Shapers and Layers 4, 3 and 2 of the OSI Model
-Familiarity with DWDM, UVN, Optical Network Environments, OTV (Overlay Transport Virtualization)
-Certification/Experience in additional network services and/or technologies; Cisco ACS, DMZ, DNS, NAT, Firewalls, Proxies, Traffic Managers
-Strong understanding of Windows and other operating systems as they relate to networking systems

Other Skills, Experiences and Abilities:
-Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities in the Wide Area Network/Local Area Network arena consisting of the following:
-Experience interfacing with vendors, internal teams, partners and customers to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve network troubles
-Skilled in utilizing protocol analyzers (packet captures) to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve network troubles
-Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative and multi-cultural environment
-Experience interfacing directly with lower level technical Teams to provide training and daily guidance
-Strong technical and process documentation skills; backup, restore, tasks, troubleshooting
-Highly self-motivated and self-directed
-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
-Experience working with network architects to develop or improve operational procedures and standards for new and existing networking solutions
-Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by influencing all levels of an organization
-Strong customer service orientation leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Effective communicator, both verbal and written. Ability to portray complex technical concepts/ideas in a non-technical manner
-Familiarity with ITIL principles
-Ability to participate in an emergency support on-call rotation including off-hours and weekends
-Flexibility in work schedules including evening and weekend work (scheduled in advance)
-Experience in managing small projects and small project teams
-Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools and computer hardware components
-Ability to occasionally lift and transport moderately heavy objects such as network devices, computers and peripherals
-Previous 24x7 Network Management Center or Network Operations experience
