For our client we are currently searching for a Senior Front End Java Developer to work in The Hague, The Netherlands for 3 months plus extensions starting January 16. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client in the Telecommunication Sector.

As Senior Developer you are hands-on when it comes to technically implement the design of new and changed functionality for the business application. You are flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as well as being result-oriented. Furthermore as Senior developer you will also research (potential) problems with applications deployed in a production environment by analysing and combining information from different sources, like access logs, application logs, etc.
and find this no problem for you have the ability to learn and work even without supervision.
main tasks include;
- Contribute to definition of requirements for projects.
- Design technical solutions and write technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain Front End applications, libraries and supporting frameworks
- Support other teams and fellow developers in specific areas.
- pro-actively suggest and implement improvements
The ideal candidate must have the following skills and experience:
- 4 years of relevant work experience as a software developer in a similar position, prefably within ISP or Telco.
- Excellent knowledge/experience with objects orientation, Java, XML, XSLT XINS and web services.
- Good knowledge/experience with source coding versioning systems and applications frameworks.
- Experienced with UNIX/Linux systems and commands.
- Knowledge and experience of standard web development such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and Ajax.
- Knowledge of code profiling and unit testings methods.
- Fluent in speaking English.
