Senior PMO Manager - Edinburgh - 6 months - £p/d
My highly reputable financial services client is looking for an experienced financial services PMO Manager to join them on a major transformation programme on an initial 6 month contract.
The role:
To develop programme governance processes and support the Project Delivery team
The main role accountabilities are:
o Develop and maintain effective processes for the Project Delivery PMO
o Ensure Programme communication and governance is maintained to a high standard
o Manage and report progress against milestones/risk/issues/dependencies
o Assist in the roll-out PMO processes and standards within the Project Delivery team
o Assist and support the Project Delivery Manager to manage a team of PM's and direct reports
o Manage the activities of two direct report (PMO Analyst) within the PMO
o Support Programme-wide management reporting process and tools.
Experience:
* Experience working within a central PMO function supporting complex, multi-stream Programmes - financial services experience very advantageous.
* Thorough understanding of the project life cycle and tools/techniques/standards within each phase.
* Ability to facilitate/chair status meetings and workshops.
* Good knowledge of project management processes and methodologies
* Exemplary analytical and communication skills
* Strong evidence of project management skills
* Exemplary MS PowerPoint skills - analysis, delivery and quality assurance
* Strong MS Project skills - Plan set-up and analysis
* Strong Excel skills
