Title: Quality Assurance Consultant

Location: Atlanta, GA

Type: 12 Month Contract

Position summary:

CCCi's client has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance Consultant in Atlanta, Georgia. The QA Consultant's key responsibilities will be to conduct an assessment of the current environment and formulate a recommendation on what environments, processes, metrics, etc. should be adopted; recommend an organization structure to support the recommendation presented; take on hands-on quality assurance testing as needed in support of in-progress projects.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Conduct a detailed assessment of the Information Services current processes and formulate a recommendation that includes:
. QA methodology
. Best Practices Trends
. Environments
. Automation Opportunities
. Testing Tools
. Metrics
. Training Needs
. Supporting Organization and Compliance Needs
. Recommendation should include a progressive approach that can be evolved over time.
- As part of the assessment, outline key functions required to support the process and what the associated deliverables should be (PMO, Ops, Web Dev, etc.).
- Evaluate how to align the QA Methodology with existing IS methodologies by supporting teams (PMO, Ops, Web Dev, etc.).
- Define standard key metrics that should be maintained to provide a solid health report on the state of quality assurance that can be utilized by project.
- Test Plan Execution
- Create template to outline the test strategy in support of the assigned project.
- Establish process steps to support appropriate levels and types of testing are utilized for standards compliance and customer acceptance (acceptance, usability, compatibility, functional, system, etc.)
- Partner with the Business and Business Analysts to understand the business requirements and how to associate test scenarios to the requirements.
- Provide status report updates on test metrics in support of the project (pass, failed, in progress, etc.)
- Determine how to incorporate the turn over process/change management structure and how defects should be tracked in production.

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science; advanced degree desirable.
- 5 to 7 years of technical experience in software development and QA including a minimum of three years of project leadership experience
- 5+ years IT related field experience
- Expert in QA testing methodology, test cycles, test tools, and testing methodologies.
- Possess articulate presentation skills
- Demonstrate a passion for quality and commitment to client satisfaction
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills a must
- Experience writing software test plans
- Solid and understanding of Web design and coding/HTML fundamentals
- Experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems, test tools (eg Winrunner, QTP, etc.), Perl, Shell Scripting and advanced programming languages such as C++, Java.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills.
- Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
- Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.
- Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools.
- Experience with ETL or Data Integration tools required
