WebSphere Application Server System Engineer - Belgium

Languages: English and Dutch or French (desirable)

Skills and experience:

  • Owner of a Master or Bachelor degree, 5 years of IT experience with at least 3 years as WebSphere System Engineer.
  • Advanced knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, including clustering for high-availability and performance, administrative Scripting, troubleshooting, as well as Java EE development best practices.
  • Familiar with web infrastructure devices, like load-balancers, reverse proxies, authentication proxies.
  • Infrastructure design and architecture skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) towards all levels.
  • Creative, analytical, forward thinking with advice capabilities.
  • Deadlines and planning respect.
  • Dynamic and well organized.
  • Team player, stress resistant.

Mission description:

  • Together with the Solution Architect and the Platform Architect, analyze Business requests and translate them into a Detailed Level Design related to the bank strategy.
  • Propose optimal solutions, based on the Group standards.
  • Propose and uphold improvements related to other domains.
  • Be responsible of problem solving.
  • Write documentation and give training to Operational teams.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure and propose innovations.
  • Control change implementation.
  • Keep current with IT market evolution.
