Role
Working on day to day administration and support to our production environment a globally deployed windows environment.
What you need to be able to do
Serve as a Senior Windows Administrator; responsible for design and maintenance of Windows server-based infrastructure systems, as well as day-to-day operations of geographically dispersed Windows Servers.
Management of incoming task/event/incident queues.
Assist with development of major Technical Operations projects, including project technical design, time and resource management as well as implementation.
Develop design specifications, author internal documentation and participate in the review of these documents.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the windows environment, related applications and projects.
Technologies you need to know about:
5+ Years Experience of hands on experience with Microsoft Server technologies with expert knowledge in Windows server configuration in Enterprise Environments.
Active Directory design, implementation and support
Knowledge of system and network management concepts
Knowledge of a Scripting language such as Power Shell or VBScript.
Knowledge of in Microsoft Networking services such as DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, SMTP, NTP, HTTP and routing.
Knowledge of HP Intel based server hardware and technology
Knowledge of OS Imaging/deployment solutions
Knowledge of clustering practices.
It's a plus if you have:
Visualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V and XEN.
SCOM or other monitoring tools.
IIS.
Systems benchmarking and sizing.
Windows Debugging.
SAN and NAS Technologies.
Cisco Switches and Routers.
Load Balancing Technologies.
HP System Insight Manager, Insight Dynamics or similar
Education
BSc degree in EE/CS/Computer Engineering required; MS degree preferred, or relevant work experience
