Description
My client is looking for an English speaking Systems Administrator who has strong EMC Networker and VMware skills. This is a 3-6 month initial contract depending on the individual, and the likelihood of extension is high.
The client is looking to consolidate 4 European DataCentres with the work being based in Paris. Below is a more detailed overview of the required skills and responsibilities.
With EDC Op.Mgr
- Organize & Qualify & Supervise Technical Changes (ITIL)
- Review change requests and plans & organize Change advisory board
- Follow up with Change implementations/Problem resolutions to confirm closure
With EDC Architect
- Develop and implement EDC DRP
- VMWare & SAN optimization
Backup Follow up
- Review backup logs/reports/settings and follow up problems
- Review compliance of backups with schedules, time taken, conflict with batches and treatments,
With EDC Op.Mgr: Problem management
- Follow up with technical problems
Mandatory Skills
- EMC Networker Backup (Certification a plus)
- VMWare (Certification a plus)
- Windows Server (2000;2003;2008)
- Linux Redhat/HP Unix
- Storage/EMC
We are looking for someone to start ASAP but the client will wait 2-4 weeks for exceptional candidates. French speaking is not mandatory but would be considered a plus.
