Description
For one of our projects in a large European Institution (European Commission) in Brussels:
We are seeking for a candidate that is able to provide technical expertise and guidance in Business Intelligence systems based on SAP Business Objects XI (BO) ranging from requirements gathering to Universe design and report development.
Provide technical expertise in BO XI for the project manager and the user organisation;
Analyse and document user requirements;
Design and create Universes and reports;
Write project related documentation (ie naming standards, technical specifications, test plans, etc.) during the different stages of the project as required;
Assist and train users in the development and validation of reports; and
Participation in progress meetings and meetings with the users.
Profile required:
The candidate should have experience, (in-depth) knowledge and skills in following domains:
Expertise and in depth knowledge of Universe Design and report development in SAP Business Objects;
Knowledge of the techniques, tips, tricks concerning Business Intelligence, report development, testing, and troubleshooting;
Knowledge of Oracle SQL and relational database principles;
Experience in working on multiple, overlapping projects;
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines;
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment;
The candidate should be able communicate fluently in English. She/he should be able to read documents in English. The candidate should be able to write documents in English
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Following expertise is considered as an asset:
Recent certifications and/or advanced training in Business Objects;
Good knowledge of testing methodologies;
Experience in database design including entity relationship diagrams;
Oral and written communication in French;
Unified Modelling language (UML);
Knowledge of European Commission ICT systems and infrastructure
