Job Description:
The role of the Insight team is supporting the marketing team in their longer term strategic insight projects, designed to bring about a step change in understanding of their customer base.
Typical projects include:
Redesigning and refreshing the Lifestyles segmentation
Examining the suitability of loyalty segmentations and recommending/executing improvements
Understanding the changing behaviours of the customer base during the recession
Projects are typically longer term, 1 month plus, and as such require strong project management to ensure timely delivery while meeting the expectations of the client.
The tools emanating from the Insight team typically touch most parts of the business. As such, successful implementation of these tools is a primary task and the team plays an important role in designing and executing any rollout plan.
As a key strategic insight team, there are many challenges to face, key amongst those are:
Delivering the 2011 Lifestyles refresh segmentation
Enabling effective use of Lifestyle Dimensions to add a deeper understanding of customer behaviours
Building new loyalty metrics and understanding to better enable the client to grow, manage and protect customer loyalty
Developing a store network solution and embedding into operating model to derive value
The Senior Insight Analyst will own their projects from initial scoping with their clients through to analysis and final insight delivery.
Overall a Senior Insight Analyst is expected to:
Understand their clients business objectives, overall strategy and performance to ensure that insight is focussed on areas that will add most value
Develop innovative analytical approaches to further understand the customers and/or their trading performance
Take ownership for the complete insight project solution, from initial idea through to successful insight delivery; meeting and exceeding the clients' requirements
Use and combine SAS, SAND, Excel, Knowledge Studio and Shopper Thoughts to efficiently create meaningful and actionable customer insight
Support team members and insight analysts
The key responsibilities of this role are:
Work effectively with the (Senior) Insight Director and Senior Client Lead as and when required
Input towards the strategic direction of the team via the workplan
Work with (Senior) Insight Director and Senior Client Lead and insight director to engage with our clients to understand their project needs and requirements
Act as key contact for the client on their projects
Successfully design, execute and manage your project delivery, with support from the (Senior) Insight
Director and Senior Client Lead by:
o Developing innovative project proposals
o Creation of value driving insight on time and meeting the objectives of the project
o Assisting in the development of final insight presentations
o Playing a significant role in the final client delivery meeting
o Engaging with client throughout the lifetime of the project to manage their expectations
This is a 3 month contract with the potential to be increased at the end of the term.
