Description
Document controller required for a 12 month contract with a global oil and gas company in Norway. The document specialist will need to use the standard document control processes and tools to develop and maintain the document register and to manage the routing, editing, approval, and distribution of documents within projects.The document controller with liaise with Internal Customers: Key customers are all project managers and engineering managers. Project Engineering staff in Norway. 2) External Customers: Contractors and vendors.
Role and Responsibilities:
. Use the standard document control processes and tools to develop and maintain the document register and to manage the routing, editing, approval, and distribution of documents.
. Provide team members with adequate training and support in the use of Assai and Livelink.
. Provide training to Contractor personnel as relevant.
. Check mailbox in Livelink for incoming documents from Contractors and Vendors. Load transmittals and document data into Assai. Load document files into Livelink.
. Create IDC workflow: Issue transmittals in Assai, send email to recipients with links to document file in Assaiweb.
. Issue return transmittal to various Contractors and Vendors with comments included. File transmittal and comments in Contractors Livelink area.
Requirements:
. The incumbent will have a sound understanding of information management systems and an awareness of the latest developments within the company to enhance the management, control and storage of data.
. The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team is essential, as the position will sometimes demand balancing priorities to meet project requirements.
. The incumbent should be well organised and have good interpersonal and networking skills.
. A committed Team Player with clear customer focus.
. Being able to work independently with minimum supervision.
