Description
A leading global investment bank is looking for an exceptionally strong core, Server Side Java developer to join its successful Front Office Rates team. The team is responsible for pricing, e-trading and intra-day risk management of cash products (primarily bonds and futures) and interest-rate swaps, and feeds to downstream systems.
There is a great deal of interaction with trading desk and quants as well as financial controllers, market risk and derivative operations departments.
Responsibilities for the E-Trading Java Developer - Interest Rates Cash Trading - Front Office Facing - London
- Strong technical background, with a high level of proficiency in OO design and in-depth knowledge of core, Server Side Java
- Good understanding of Fixed Income, a knowledge in interest rates is useful
- Working in the Fixed Income Rates team, reporting directly to the head of this area
The Person E-Trading Java Developer - Interest Rates Cash Trading - Front Office Facing - London
- Expertise in Java development
- Good knowledge in a linux environment
- ION MarketView (or similar) experience
- Experience in a Front Office environment will be a benefit
- Knowledge of Scala, C++, and KDB+ would be a bonus
- Knowledge of Interest Rates Swaps would be a bonus
- Strong communication skills
