Senior UNIX Systems Administrator, Contract 6 months, Netherlands
Amoria Bond is currently recruiting for a Senior UNIX Systems Administrator to strengthen and join the command centre team. The position is on a contract basis for a period of 6 months based in Maastricht area.
As a Senior UNIX Systems Administrator you will focus on maintaining smooth operation of our clients global Unix server environment. You will be responsible for technical support, configuration and testing of Unix Operating Systems, Unix Virtualization technologies, Unix hardware and daily support tasks.
In order to be considered for the Senior UNIX System Administrator position you need to be able to give examples of projects where you:
* Monitored, supported and troubleshoot the IT infrastructure for operating issues involving failures, degradation and event correlation using various software and hardware monitoring tools. Includes; complex and high priority issues.
* Identified root cause of issues and influence our ability to prevent reoccurring issues.
* Worked closely with and influenced Design and Engineering Teams.
* Developed and maintained a strong practical understanding of technologies currently deployed within the department.
You should also:
* Have a broad theoretical understanding of current state-of-the-art hardware and software.
* Knowledge of different UNIX/Linux Flavours.
* Worked previously on Infrastructure/Migration related projects.
* Has experience with Databases and tooling.
* Demonstrate complete understanding of principles, concepts, practices and
* Be able to solve technical problems, quickly and effectively.
* Have background of working in a vibrant, critical systems environment.
I can only accept candidates that hold valid passports to work in the Netherlands. Also, the most suitable candidates will have previous experience working in the Netherlands and be willing to work via the Dutch payroll system due to contract duration.
