Description
Our large energy client is seeking a SCADA Electrical Engineer to provide support for Distribution SCADA and the Distribution Management System Project in the Carolinas. This is a 12 month contract position in Charlotte, NC. The work consists of analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these systems and their external interfaces.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pass NERC background checks
- BS Electrical Engineering
- Able to work well in high pressure situations
- Able to communicate both verbally and written with business and technical information
- Excellent organizational skills and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a willingness to take initiative and persevere through challenges
- Must be detail oriented and have careful attention to quality
- Able to provide 24 x 7 support
Desired qualifications
- Experience in supporting Real Time SCADA implementations for electric utilities, including analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in one or more of the following areas: SCADA front-ends (models, databases, displays, alarms, and DNP-based protocols)
- Experience with supporting one or more of the following products: Alstom-Grid (AREVA) eterra suite (e-terra platform/e-terradistribution/e-terrahabitat/e-terracontrol/e-terrasource/e-terramodeler/browser, FG Display Builder/Substation Editor/e-terracomm) and OSIsoft PI System
