The PT Temporary Instructional Designer will design and develop rich learning tools and environments in collaboration with College faculty to provide an interactive and engaging student experience. In addition, this position will promote the use of instructional technologies through various methods with a focus on pedagogical enhancement.

SPECIAL DUTIES:

Provides technical training in support of the Center for Teaching and Learning

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

* Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology or related field,  graduate degree preferred
* Minimum 3 years experience in computer courseware design and instructional technology.
* Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles applicable to web based instruction.
* High level of expertise with software that facilitates the design of instruction (storyboards, flow charts, assessments, etc.).
* Basic knowledge of HTML.
* Experience with web-based course management tools (Blackboard).
* Knowledge of: current technologies; instructional technologies; various microcomputer hardware, peripherals and microcomputer operating systems; networking systems; various microcomputer software packages (including information processing, database management, spreadsheet analysis and graphics); authoring languages and systems; instructional design techniques and procedures.
* Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written format.
* Excellent customer service skills.
