Key skills: Cognos (8.2 & 8.4)/SQL/Report Writer/Report Studio Datamodelling/Framework Manager
A leading Hampshire based insurance company seek an experienced Cognos Developer with a good working knowledge of Cognos (8.2 & 8.4) and SQL, to lead the technical design, build and integration of computerised solutions to specified business needs and make effective use of available information technology. To lead in finding and delivering timely solutions to production application issues.
The key skills req'd are:
- Cognos (8.2 & 8.4).
- SQL (2000, 20005, or 2008).
- Should also ideally have:
- Report Writer/Report Studio.
- Datamodelling/Framework Manager.
- Cognos Administration - security, deployment, ETLs, BCPs other data transfer mechanisms.
- Datawarehouse and Data analysis
As Cognos Developer - Financial Services, you have the following:
Experience in producing efficient and effective program code for a range of different applications, including browser based code, components, Data Base Management System (DBMS) queries to store, retrieve and manipulate data, report writing.
- Experience of designing new automated solutions for a variety of business functions.
- Experience of changing large, complex applications.
- Ability to communicate clearly, logically both verbally and in writing.
- Considerable experience in solving application related problems.
