SENIOR Health Informatics Developer
This position will provide total Datawarehouse ETL and Technical Architecture designs solutions using Oracle, Linux and SAS technologies. Perform in designing, developing, and delivering large scale multi-terabyte Data Warehousing solutions. Position will work closely with DBA, QA, and other KPIT groups in addition to having direct customer contact. We are looking for an individual with strong communication abilities for this challenging position.
Responsibilities:
Leading the design and implementation of ETL processes
Building the ETL process to meet specific requirements
Creating high performance and highly scalable ETL designs
Establishing and implementing ETL best practices and guidelines
Provide development and production support for the data mart environment
Support health plan, financial and clinical extracts and marts
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5-10 years of design and development experience in IT
4 years dedicated ETL development using ETL solutions
Experience with Oracle, SQL, UNIX/Linux and Shell Scripting etc.
Experience with SAS
BS degree (Computer Science concentration preferred) or equivalent experience required
Design, implement, and develop ETL processes against high-volume and complex data sources
Perform Quality Assurance, unit and system testing as well as complete documentation of deliverables.
Experience designing, documenting ETL and tuning.
Experience with data cleansing and data quality processes.
Ability to analyze and design methodologies for full system development life cycles.
Ability to analyze and design data conversions and integration tools, processes, and practices.
Preferred
4 years experience in data warehousing/business intelligence development and architecture experience (full life cycle)
4 years experience deploying and supporting large, complex Datawarehouse/business intelligence solutions (full life cycle)
4 years experience designing relational (conceptual, logical, physical) and dimensional data models for Datawarehouse/business intelligence
Experience with data integration tools
Understanding of reporting tools (Cognos or SAS)
Rhapsody ETL or equivalent HL7 decoding experience
Clinical/Financial Datawarehouse experience
