Description
We are looking to immediately hire a Senior SAP Project Manager to ork a long-term rolling contract in Denver, Colorado.
This would suit a very experienced SAP Project Manager who has at least 8+ years of similar based experience.
The Rollout Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the Client Business Solution. This role will be involved in the Project Definition for the scoping and planning of the business rollout, and then will be leading the rollout activities (Business Blueprint through to Go-Live) across various teams. The Rollout Project Manager is responsible for the successfully delivery against scope, quality, effort, budget and timelines. The Rollout Project Manager will collaborate with Client business unit leaders, stakeholders and IT resource leaders to achieve the desired outcomes of delivering on time and in full into the production environment.
Key tasks
The key tasks of the Project Manager are:
- Responsible for Project Start-up, Initiation, Execution and Close.
- Establishing and maintaining the Project Initiation Documentation (PID) and its components.
- Establishing Stakeholder Engagement and ongoing Stakeholder Management.
- Establishing Customer Relationship and ongoing communication.
- Take guidance and instruction from Project Board for direction and approval.
- Plan resource requirements and agree commitments from resource managers to provide the required effort to execute project activities. (Solution Delivery projects are resourced from a Matrix model where team members report to a project manager but belong to a functional/technical team).
- Project team communication (managing the information flows between the directing and delivering levels of the project).
- Establish and Manage third-party engagement through-out the project life cycle.
- Achieve the delivery of scope within the Release schedule and work packages as prescribed by the Release Level 1 plan.
- Seek direction and approval for the project from the Project Board and advising of any deviations from the plan, scope, cost, quality or benefits.
- Ensuring regular Project status reporting and internal project team updates.
- Managing Risks and Issues, and escalating to the Project Board and IT leadership where appropriate.
- Managing Quality throughout the project life cycle, including the scheduling of integrated data design reviews, Business Blueprint reviews, build reviews, and test scope reviews.
- Ensuring the project teams prepare and conduct the Transition to Operation and Maintain sessions to the IT Applications Support Teams.
- Identifying and managing dependencies within the project and with other projects or initiatives.
- Operate as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) focused leader to project teams and colleagues.
