Description;
DBA required to set up environment for Engineering SharePoint PoC related to the Oracle dependent ASSAI application which integrate with LL and SharePoint. Requirement for DBA to work with Application Specialists to set up dependent Oracle DBs in PoC environment in Production. Requirement for effort on a ad-hoc basis, estimated at 1 day a week until end of March 2012
Department description;
The POC delivers
1. An assessment of the feasibility of replacing the Livelink environments currently used within capital projects with a corresponding SharePoint 2010 environment.
2. Assuming the results of (1) are positive then provide Instructions on how to perform this upgrade that can be used for a future rollout program.
To make the assessment we need to
* Design a replacement for the current Livelink implementation of an Engineering Document architecture (currently implemented as Livelink compound documents) to run on the implementation of SharePoint 2010.
* Verify that the applications (old and new) that currently interface with Livelink will interface with Sharpoint with the minimum of changes (preferably as a 'drop-in' replacement). It may be that the outcome of this forces and upgrade to these applications.
The applications to consider are:-
o AHA 3.0 and 4.0 (incl IDB but problems are not expected)
o SPF/VTL
o Assai 7.2 and 8.2
o EDW_Utilities
