SYSTEMS ENGINEER NETWORKING
Our client is currently requiring the services of an experienced Systems Engineer Networking to provide support and resolve network issues as well as develop and implement strategies that will sustain network operations across all sites of the company. This is a 4 month contract with view for extension and for an immediate start.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the key responsibilities will include:
Assist in the design, implementation, documentation and configuration of network equipment (Firewall, Routers, Switches, VoIP, WAN link etc)
Maintain the network infrastructure and develop and maintain an up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure as it relates to configurations, processes and designs
Assist with the design and implementation of network security procedures and policy
Assist with managing existing and new vendor relationships
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of OSI networking model and TCP/IP protocols
Administration experience in corporate TCP/IP based network (LAN/WAN)
Appropriate industry certification and/or experience (Cisco CCNA)
Implement, document and configure network equipment (Routers Switches, LAN, WAN etc)
Strong technical knowledge, analytical and conceptual skills with abilities to adapt to new situations and help develop solutions to complex Network problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to develop effective relationships with internal technical staff, external contractors, suppliers, clients and stakeholders.
